Easy wood and timber waste processing
Waste wood and waste timber are also common waste materials around the world which can be easily recycled and reused. In the UK alone, it is estimated that almost five million tonnes of waste wood is generated each year, and still only half of that is being recycled. Waste wood can come from all kinds of sources, including domestic homes, industrial factories and commercial factories, and waste timber is a huge output from construction and demolition industries.
Recovery, processing and recycling
Recovering, processing and recycling this wood is a speciality of RG Recycling. We collect and recycle all grades and states of timber, including A, B and C grades of wood, un-shredded materials, pre-shredded timber and any other state the waste wood you have may be in.
We then process the wood in a variety of ways to produce high quality finished projects:
- Old timber is cleaned, trimmed and stripped of metal to be used as flooring, beams or decking
- Wood is shredding down to create wood chip, which can then be used for the production of chipboard, animal bedding or equine surfaces
- Some wood can be fashioned into pallets for industrial and commercial use
- And increasingly, a lot of recycled wood chip is being sent to specialist fuel plants across the world for use as biomass, a great sustainable fuel source
